Re-thinking Sidewalks Dining Areas
This project takes an urban investigation and research approach to the design of a modular, flexible outside diner post-pandemic. The goal is to explore innovative solutions for outdoor dining spaces that can adapt to changing spatial and social contexts. The research investigates how the design of outdoor dining spaces can contribute to urban vitality, community building, and environmental sustainability. Through an interdisciplinary approach that integrates urban planning, architecture, and social sciences, the project seeks to generate knowledge and insights that can inform design decisions. The modular, flexible design of the outside diner is a result of this investigation and research, aimed at creating a solution that responds to the challenges of the post-pandemic era while also being adaptable to future changes in the urban environment. The project encourages a holistic approach to urban design that considers the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of outdoor dining spaces/ 2020
